Run Wild for Taronga – help feed your favourite animals
It’s been a tough year for many of us, and Taronga is no exception. With the cumulative effects of the drought, bushfire crisis and COVID-19, our animals need you now more than ever. That’s why we’re bringing you a brand-new challenge for the month of June to keep you moving and help keep our animals fed and looked after!
Did you know that it costs us around $35,000 a week to feed our animals in our two Zoos?
By just signing up and participating you’ll directly help Taronga feed and look after the 5,000+ animals in our care, including injured wildlife brought into our two wildlife hospitals. Now that’s a feel good reason to get moving!
Taronga Conservation Society Australia
The Taronga Conservation Society Australia (Taronga) is a not-for-profit, global conservation leader. With over 100 years of history, we are a centre of conservation excellence and participate in regional and global conservation breeding programs to establish insurance populations of species threatened in the wild. We help to protect threatened and priority wildlife by supporting 44 research and conservation projects across Australia, and a further 25 programs around the globe. From tiny Corroborree Frogs to Australasia’s first Greater One-horned Rhino calf, our efforts have kept and will keep these species alive for generations to come.
Taronga’s zoos in Sydney and Dubbo aim to create experiences that delight and inspire lasting connections between people and wildlife. At Taronga, we believe in a thriving future for wildlife and people and together we have a responsibility to protect the world’s wildlife, not just for today, but our future generations.
Help us realise our vision of a shared future for wildlife and people.
